The holiday season at Starbucks is one of the most anticipated and recognizable brand campaigns today. Some might even say that the arrival of the "red" cup is a comsumer signal that the holidays are upon us. The intention of the 2010 Holiday campaign meant to uncover the heart of the season through celebrating the gift of stories and community building. Recognizing that Starbucks can play the role of amplifier to those holiday sentiments, communication focused on the magical moments that happen between friends, family and strangers during this time of year. To execute this idea, a cast of whimsical characters was developed to spread the message of sharing, connection and good will, for retail, advertising and online.
